Government of Colombia to Host Workshop on the Voluntary Principles and the U.N. Guiding Principles

In May, the Government of Colombia will host a workshop on the Voluntary Principles and the U.N. Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. The workshop will be held in Cartagena on May 13-14. A full agenda for the workshop and information on registration is available here.  

Moderators for the workshop include: Professor John Ruggie, the former U.N. Special Representative on Business and Human Rights; Alexandra Guagueta, currently on the U.N. Working Group on Business and Human Rights; and John Morrison, Executive Director for the Institute for Human Rights and Business.

Partners for Democratic Change International joins the Voluntary Principles

In March 2013, Partners for Democratic Change International became the newest member of the NGO Pillar of the Voluntary Principles Initiative.

Voluntary Principles Participants Gather for the 2013 Annual Plenary Meeting

On March 13-14, 2013, Voluntary Principles Participants, Observers, and Invited Guests gathered in The Hague, The Netherlands for the 2013 Annual Plenary Meeting. The Government of The Netherlands served as both host and Chair of the meeting. A press release regarding the proceedings is available here.
