Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights
The Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPs) today celebrate their 10th anniversary at Lancaster House in London. Since their launch in 2000, the VPs have provided guidance to extractives companies on maintaining the security of their operations in a manner that respects human rights and fundamental freedoms. In recognition of this milestone, founding members and other participants of the VPs put forward a vision for the future—a vision shared by governments, companies, and civil society organisations. Read the Vision Statement and press release to find out more.
